Located in the southeast region of Georgian Bay, Severn Sound offers incredible fishing year-round, even through the ice, but it comes alive in November. The possibilities of catching Walleye, world record Muskie, big Pike, and even Lake Trout are all within a few miles of any launch point. If that’s not enough, until November 30th when the season closes, South East Georgian Bay has some of the best Smallmouth bass fishing anywhere in the province.

Oak Bay is located a quick drive to many rivers and lakes teeming with fish. Stop in at any gas station or corner grocery and you’ll find the locals friendly and happy to share their favourite fishing spots. There are many lakes and rivers off the beaten path to satisfy the serious angler as well as several municipal and provincial parks for relaxed family fishing. Some of the best spots:

  • Gloucester Pool
  • Georgian Bay
